Controller

Job description:

    • Complete all financial reporting requirements for both internal & external stakeholder on a timely and accurately basis
    • Management of day-to-day accounting operations, including but not limited to AP, AR, cash management, payroll, procurement
    • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
    • Research and provide guidance on application of technical accounting issues
    • Work closely with FP&A to support accurate analysis of budget versus actual results needed to maintain healthy budgeting and meaningful reporting to stakeholders
    • Partner with FP&A and business unit leaders to develop predictable and credible financial reporting
    • Ensure income, sales/VAT tax compliance
    • Assess needs, evaluate systems, select & implement accounting systems to support improved automation and scale
    • Ability to lead the selection and implementation of systems to support improved automation; maintain and enhance existing systems
    • Manage annual audit and preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • All other tasks that may be required from time to time

Qualifications

    • 5+ years of Controller experience for a rapidly growing software business
    • CPA (active) license, and degree in accounting
    • Experience managing and building accounting teams
    • Advanced Excel skills and proficient in other Microsoft office applications
    • Excellent analytical, quantitative and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively across departments and at different levels
    • Ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision
    • Public accounting experience in audit and/or tax a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
