This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities related to household management.
In addition to managing regular household staff, the Estate Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the security program, fleet management, and housekeeping schedules.
This is a senior-level position with a salary range of $135,000 to $175,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
Property and Household Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of multiple local residences.
Manage and supervise regular household staff, including housekeepers, gardeners, maintenance workers, and other personnel.
Coordinate and oversee the security program, ensuring the safety and privacy of the family and their properties.
Develop and maintain comprehensive housekeeping schedules to ensure cleanliness and organization.
Implement and enforce security protocols and procedures, working closely with security personnel.
Manage and maintain inventories of household supplies and coordinate procurement as needed.
Ensure all properties are well-maintained, both inside and outside, through regular inspections and coordination of repairs and maintenance.
Fleet Management:
Oversee the management and maintenance of the family's vehicle fleet across multiple properties.
Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring vehicles are in optimal condition.
Schedule regular service appointments and inspections for vehicles.
Coordinate transportation logistics for family members and guests across various residences.
Staff Management:
Recruit, hire, and train household staff, including housekeepers, security personnel, and other relevant positions.
Provide ongoing supervision, support, and performance evaluations for all household employees.
Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation of the properties.
Foster a positive and professional work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
Household Administration:
Manage household calendars, including scheduling appointments, events, and travel arrangements for family members.
Handle correspondence and communications on behalf of the family, demonstrating discretion, and professionalism.
Assist with personal errands and tasks as required.
Manage household budgets, track expenses, and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
Desirable Experience and Professional
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a House Manager, Estate Manager, or similar position in a high-profile household.
Proven experience managing household staff and overseeing security programs.
Extensive knowledge of security protocols, systems, and procedures.
Experience in fleet management and coordination of transportation logistics.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong leadership and staff management abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization within the properties.
Familiarity with smart home technology and automated systems.
Financial management skills, including budgeting and expense tracking.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
