Avata Partners is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant for a full-time position with a prestigious, national law firm located in Palo Alto!nn In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of legal professionals and support a team of attorneys in all aspects of patent litigation. Our ideal candidate is steady under pressure, capable of prioritizing competing demands, and eager to proactively participate in training opportunities to advance their skills.nn Position details:nnnCompetitive salary between $52,000 - $85,000 , depending on experience.nHealth benefits eligibility (medical, dental, vision).n401k Retirement savings.nOnboarding support from your Avata team!nnn Your daily responsibilities include:nnnAssisting with the assembly of exhibits and appendices for court papers, depositions, and trials.nOrganizing paper and electronic documents for use in depositions or trials.nMaintaining indexes and organizing case files and workrooms.nIndexes and organizes files for off-site storage.nAssisting with document collection, review, and production.nPreparing for and attending depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations as needed.nUtilizing legal research software.nAssisting with department projects as needed and performing other work-related duties as assigned.nnn Qualifications for this position include:nnnA minimum of a high school diploma, with a paralegal certificate and/or bachelor's degree strongly preferred. nPrior experience as a Legal Assistant or similar position preferred.nAbility to quickly master new applications and software.nFlexibility to work overtime as necessary, including nights and weekends, and travel as necessary.nnn At Avata Partners, we advocate for the best compensation and benefits packages available and match you with the position that meets your unique needs and professional goals.nn If you're ready to take the next step in your legal career, we want to hear from you!
